In 1983, the current phone number for Happy Trails Tours was the personal home phone number of the Ellis’. All conference and business meetings took place around the kitchen table and no official business hours existed. If one called looking for a tour, the phone would be answered by whoever was closest. Even Marge’s husband Grant would take his turn. Despite its modest beginnings, HTT has become a success and it all started because eleven wonderful local ladies wanted to sing in Nashville. And there is more to that story.
