Noshwalks
Our tours were about more than food: We also pointed out historical & cultural landmarks. In 1987, Prentice-Hall published The Food Lover’s Guide to the Real New York, written by me & Hungry Pedalers co-leader Mark Clifford. Hungry Pedalers folded when I went overseas (South Africa) for four years. When I returned, I wanted to resume my passion for exploring New York Cit ... More y’s neighborhoods. With new family responsibilities, I had no time for bike tours, but I did have time to walk around and write. Ergo, Noshnews. Publicity followed: It has been mentioned in The New York Times, The New Yorker and Newsday (a great half-page piece by Erica Marcus) and on WQXR. NY1’s Paul Messina did a great story on Noshnews, following me through Sunnyside.
Explore Dallas History
If you want a vision of what life was like when Dallas consisted of less than 900 people, this is your tour. This is an easy walk/wheelchair-friendly cruise that tours the square in front of the Old Red Museum (meet on the eastern stairs).
Mysteries of Hawaii
GHOST TOURS AND MORE! Mysteries of Hawaii are Hawaii’s Original Ghost Tours and Chicken Skin Tours. Established in 1997 as a part of Glen Grant’s famous Haunted Hawaiian tours, helping to set the stage for all other ghost tours in Honolulu, on Oahu and across the Hawaiian Islands. After learning as a child about his Native Hawaiian oral traditions like the feared Night ... More Marchers, the goddess Pele, and Menehune, more and more from his kupuna, he studied, under Glen Grant, storytelling and the paranormal. Lopaka has become a repository of ghost stories from all over Hawaii and the world. Native Hawaiian Owned and Operated, Lopaka Kapanui’s Mysteries of Hawai’i are the most real, most exciting Historical and Haunted Ghost Tours of Hawaii.
