Royal Carriages was started in 1941 by my grandparents, Clem and Violet Lauga, with one horse and carriage. My parents, Jim and Carolynn Lauga continued this family-run New Orleans tradition for over 35 years. Through these many years, our company has grown steadily into a full-service carriage company employing 45 people and stabling several young draft mules. Through all ... More these years of ownership, the company has remained in our family -- one that has a legacy of over 81 years of experience in the New Orleans tourism industry. The fact that Royal Carriages is a family-run business is one reason why we are the oldest sightseeing carriage company in America.

Lifelong New Yorker, born and raised in Yonkers, Nice Guy Food Tours’ CEO (Chief Eating Officer), Dante Mercadante, became a licensed NYC Sightseeing Guide in 2012. Utilizing his other backgrounds like stand-up comedy and acting alongside this license, Dante found his calling in 2014 with the birth of Nice Guy Tours. I get great joy out of guiding locals and out-of-towners alike through the streets of NYC. I never really knew what I wanted to be when I grew up. I have always loved trying new food.
