Germany Tour Companies
Wayward Wind Tours
We have a large staff and a full time mechanic to keep our large fleet in excellent operating condition. For those of us that are seriously committed to the tourism industry, there is no such thing as a forty hour work week. We just don’t work in the industry, we live in it. You can reach us from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday. We know how busy you are and ... More we don’t think that you should have to listen to a recorder. When you do call us, a tour specialist will usually greet you. Without a doubt, this person has the most demanding job in our company. It is his or her responsibility to know what is going on with every company in the industry and to know who’s booked, who’s not and how to get in touch with them. The specialist not only books the tours, but also schedules and dispatches the drivers and subcontractors. This person will confirm and reconfirm locations, numbers and spot times. Whenever you have last minute changes and numbers go up, you can be sure that if the tour specialist cannot get it done, nobody can. Wayward Wind Inc., is a company that was built, not bought. Painstakingly, one vehicle, one trail and one program at a time, we grew through experience. We know what works, what doesn’t and why.
Noshwalks
Our tours were about more than food: We also pointed out historical & cultural landmarks. In 1987, Prentice-Hall published The Food Lover’s Guide to the Real New York, written by me & Hungry Pedalers co-leader Mark Clifford. Hungry Pedalers folded when I went overseas (South Africa) for four years. When I returned, I wanted to resume my passion for exploring New York Cit ... More y’s neighborhoods. With new family responsibilities, I had no time for bike tours, but I did have time to walk around and write. Ergo, Noshnews. Publicity followed: It has been mentioned in The New York Times, The New Yorker and Newsday (a great half-page piece by Erica Marcus) and on WQXR. NY1’s Paul Messina did a great story on Noshnews, following me through Sunnyside.
San Francisco Shuttle Tours
Most Comprehensive Tours of San Francisco, Muir Woods, Yosemite National Park & Monterey/Carmel. Everything we do is comprehensive, with multiple stops so you are not just driving by everything.
